Refurbishment or Repair of Sport Wood Floor

When sport wood floor is using more than 3 years, there are many scratches, unevenness, fade or other defects which could not meet the requirements of professional sports, such as deformation, slip resistance. Deeply refurbishment and repair is the best choice at this time.

Treatment of substrate:

Transfer all the sports exercisers on the wood floor, remove sphere lines, tapes, Logo and other attachments.

Grinding:

Grind the whole floor by using grinder with vacuum cleaner and angle grinder, the grinding depth is depended on the degree of wear of the wood floor, usually in 0.5-2.0mm.

Filling joints:

Fill with transparent lacquer putty to wood floor, skirting board, score- groove surface;
  Rough grind large area by using 80-120# wood abrasive paper in order to eliminate wood needle, mechanical trace and installation tolerance.
Fine grind large area by using 350# wood abrasive paper to fine and smooth;

Cleaning:

  Wipe and clean the surface to remove surface dust.
  
Coating primer paint and grinding:

  Coat the paint according to client’s requirement, after the coating layer is curing, grind it by using 500# abrasive paper to eliminate grain and needling on the paint surface. The grinding must be uniform, should not hurt the wood panel, and examine each panel after grinding. Redo the grinding work if necessary, and clean up the dust on the surface.
During the procedure, take care to check whether it is full filled with lacquer putty in the crack, otherwise repeat the relative process.

Top coat and other:

  Carry out the top coat according to client’s requirements, then marking lines and drawing Logo. Continue the next procedure after completely curing.

Cleaning:

  Clean wood floor with Sinopolymer special cleaner, then rinse.

Polishing:

  Coat Bright film TD sport wood floor finish onto the cleaned floor.
