Application Process
1. Requirement for the substrate:
1.1 Proper waterproof treatment should be taken at the stage of civil construction for basements or damp ground. The designed strength of the substrate is no lower than C20 fine aggregate concrete or 1:1 cement mortar leveling layer; and the surface is treated for finishing, the leveling layer is 5mm lower than the design ground height.
1.2 The hardness of substrate surface must greater than 1.2MPa, so the concrete or cement mortar leveling layer must be curing at least 7 days, solidification period 28days.
1.3 The tolerance of substrate flatness must be no more than ±2mm by 2m straightedge;
1.4 Substrate moisture content must less than 8%. Keep indoor ventilated and dry;
1.5 No pitted surface, cracks (exclude contract seams) on the substrate. Vibrate to dense to avoid hollowing during concrete construction is important.
1.6 Clean thoroughly with cleaner if there is grease, paint or other dirt;High spots must be removed by e.g. grinding. Grinding by grinder or leveling by self-leveling cement to uneven large area.
1.7 Environmental temperature for construction is no less than 5℃, and relative humidity no higher than 75%.
1.8 Completely clean the substrate floor, preferably by high-power vacuum cleaner.
2. Application materials and tools:
Application materials:Floor: select suitable floor according to design requirements and usage;Conducting resin: special conductive resin for PVC antistatic floor;Copper foil (or aluminium foil) thickness 0.03-0.10mm, width20-30mm;Ethyl alcohol: industrial grade;
Application tools:Scraper : To coat conducting resin;Rubber hammer: To hammer the floor for better sticky;Antistatic resistance measuring apparatus: To measure the conductivity;Blade: To incise the floor;Welding rod: Φ 3.5-4.0mm;Welding gun:800-1000W;Round scraper knife: To root out extruding welding rod.
3. Application procedure:
Floor cleaning — Chalking line — Coating conductive resin —Install conductive grid — Draw forth earth wire — Floor tiles setting — Welding floor joints — Clean surface.
4. Application method or process:
4.1 Clean the floor, find the central line (cross curve) ;4.2 Coating conductive resin evenly, drying;4.3 Install conductive grid: When the conductive resin layer is not so sticky, stick copper foil or aluminium foil to form a grid. During the installation, pay attention to the cross to assure the conduction. Measure electric resistance of the foils between every two adjacent grids, the electric resistance value must be less than 1.0×105Ω, stick again if fail to pass through to assure every point to earth is conductive; There are at least four points per each 100m2 which is connecting to earthed system of the workshop.4.4 Laying the floor:Begin the laying of floor when the adhesive is not so sticky by finger’s touching. Laying from the center to all around, if need to welding, the gap between adjacent floors is 2-3mm. During the laying work, knocking with a rubber hammer to ensure the bonding is solid till the whole work is completed.During the construction, often measure the electric resistance between copper foil or aluminium foil to check the conduction, if it is different, find the cause and stick again to ensure the electric resistance of each floor to earth is between 105 -109Ω.
4.5 Welding:Welding along the gaps of floors by 800-1000W plastic welding gun, attention not to solder skips and insufficient solder, and must be flat and smooth to the surface, then clean clearly, polishing.
5 Quality control of the application:
Electric resistance of floor surface: 105 -109Ω;No obvious uneven between the welding rods in the welding seams;Free of bubbles on the surface, no peeling occurs;No obvious contamination of the construction;The dislocation of the joints between adjacent floors should not more than 2mm, no obvious gap between adjacent welding lines.
