Application Process of PVC/Rubber flooring
1. Requirement for the substrate:
1.1 Proper waterproof treatment should be taken at the stage of civil construction for basements or damp ground. The designed strength of the substrate is no lower than C20 fine aggregate concrete or 1:1 cement mortar leveling layer; and the surface is treated for finishing, the leveling layer is 5mm lower than the design ground height.
1.2 The hardness of substrate surface must greater than 1.2MPa, so the concrete or cement mortar leveling layer must be curing at least 7 days, solidification period 28days.
1.3 The tolerance of substrate flatness must be no more than ±2mm by 2m straightedge;
1.4 Substrate moisture content must less than 8%. Keep indoor ventilated and dry;
1.5 No pitted surface, cracks (exclude contract seams) on the substrate. Vibrate to dense to avoid hollowing during concrete construction is important.
1.6 Clean thoroughly with cleaner if there is grease, paint or other dirt;High spots must be removed by e.g. grinding. Grinding by grinder or leveling by self-leveling cement to uneven large area.
1.7 Environmental temperature for construction is no less than 5℃, and relative humidity no higher than 75%.
1.8 Completely clean the substrate floor, preferably by high-power vacuum cleaner.
2. Construction Process:2.1 Construction strictly according to the required drawing. Prevent no scratches or wildness in floor surface during the working.2.2 Open and horizontally lay out the materials for about 2-3 hours before installation to stabilize the size of materials and eliminate curl.2.3 Chalking line, scale dividing and positioning. For coil, joint width should be taken off. For delineate coil, consider parquet and butt joints. Consider elevation difference in the place of material borders.2.4 Install the floors according to control lines, Arrange overall according to room shapes and designed layout, Determine material cutting size and shapes. First parquet, then fully laying; first complicated, then simple.2.5 Starting from one side of the wall, scrape adhesive according to floor control lines by serrated scraper or scraper blade. When the adhesive is not so sticky by finger’s touching (usually waiting for 5-15 min), begin the laying of floor. Coating thickness of floor adhesive is no more than 1mm usually, and coating area should not be too large because the laying must be completed in 45min. Each time coat the floor adhesive from the room to the door or the existing place, then from the existing place to the outside. Please refer to the supplier’s user manual when using the floor adhesive.2.6 First install the area where the floor adhesive has been scraped, then scrape and install the rest area. When installing, often press to rule out the air. If find grains of sand, immediately clean up.2.7 After finishing the laying, comprehensively press and scrape using rounded wood to make the floor surface without any bubbles, and roll the floor with metal roller evenly before the adhesive is still not dry out to ensure the floor solidly adhesive to the substrate. Wipe off the excess adhesive with damp cloth.2.8 After completely bonding of the floor with substrate, slotting by using slotted equipment, then welding with the same color of welding rod by using hot air welding equipment, then shovel to be flat;2.9 After completely bonding of the floor with substrate, immediately carry out maintenance for the first time. Clean clearly and/or using vacuum cleaner after completing. Then coat with Sinopolymer floor finish to carry out the treatment of staining resistance. Curing at least 24 hours before the floor is used.
