Vinyl Resin-FRP Anticorrosive Flooring System
Apply vinyl coatings and FRP to the flooring system so that the floor has a high density, high surface hardness, and excellent performances of anti-permeability, temperature stability, acid, alkali and other chemical resistance.
Bisphenol A type vinyl resin can meet the requirements of a variety of corrosion medium and conditions in common. Bisphenol A type: a wide range of chemical resistance, high strength, toughness and hardy, high resistance to fatigue. Phenolic type: temperature stability, solvent resistance, outstanding oxidation resistance. If needed flame retardant performance, reactive type or adding-flame retardant vinyl resin can be selected.

Scope of application:
Chemical storage tank area, pipelines, acid-base pool and drainage waste water/ sewage treatment tank, acid and alkali neutralization pool, etc. in Chemical plants, electroplating factory, battery plant and other factories, as well as the floor with strict requirements of anti-corrosion. Coating for the inside surface and outside surface of metal tank.
1、Thickness: 1.0-5.0mm2、Surface morphology: light / matte, anti slid.3、Service life: ≥5-10 years4、Floor features: vinyl resin has the superior physical properties of epoxy resin, and the rapid hardening of unsaturated ester resin.
Construction process:
1. Waterproof or damp proof treatment: the first floor on the ground shall be treated for waterproof or damp proof.
Note: the substrate surface must be prepared to remove cement slurries, cement skin, loose or brittle particles, defects and parting compounds. Fresh concrete must be cur--ing more than 28 days. The residual moisture of the concrete surface must be less than 8%.
2. Surface treatment: by abrasive blasting or grinding or other suitable mechanical methods to get a certain surface roughness and then vacuum cleaning.
3. Note: Shot blasting treatment to Sa2.5 for steel structure surface must be done, and must be inspected and then coated primer in 5 hours.
4. Primer coating: coating strong permeable primer to the treated substrate in order to ensure the surface adhesion.
5. Lamination layer: Place the fiber glass smoothly, then apply the vinyl coatings which has been well mixed on the fiber glass for 1-3 layers, overlap joint of the fiber glass must be at least 50 mm, and the place of overlap joint on different layers must be staggered at least 50 mm. After each layer’s coating, compaction and de-foaming must be done. After 24 hours curing, continue the next coating process. During the process, grinding to eliminate skin needles and then clean clearly.
6. Reinforced coating 1-2 FRP layers for internal and external corners.
7. Intermediate coat: Apply the mixed vinyl intermediate coating 1-2 layers by trowel. Grinding before top coat.
Note: For the floor to be protected from hydrofluoric acid, Barite powder or Blanc fixe powder is better as the fillers.
8. Top coat: Apply the mixed vinyl top coat evenly to the surface by suitable tools. The finish of floor color should be uniform, without any hollowing.
9. Curing: Fit for foot traffic after approx. 24 hours (20℃), and fit for chemical exposure after approx.15 days.
